Job Description

Thousands of users trust our fast-growing weather safety platform across school districts, cities, universities, golf courses, and other industries. We're one of the fastest-growing technology companies in North Texas. Our software and connected hardware enable rapid decision-making for organizations facing the threat of weather disruption: How long can I wait to pull players off the field for the nearby storm? How should I modify activities to prevent heat stress injuries? When can operations safely resume on the tarmac? How can I be sure my staff adheres to a weather policy?

As a Manufacturing Technician , you will play an instrumental role in the continued growth and success of Perry Weather. You will be the first line of defense in our manufacturing process, ensuring that every product meets our high standards of quality and performance. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will engage in a variety of tasks critical to our operations, including assembling our hardware products, conducting thorough quality control inspections, and preparing items for shipment.

IN THIS JOB YOU WILL:

  • Operate heavy machinery, assemble components, monitor processes, manage inventory, and fulfill daily production tasks.
  • Conduct quality control by inspecting materials, identifying defects, troubleshooting production challenges, and ensuring that finished products meet Perry Weather standards.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, cleanliness, and report any faults.
  • Maintain a Safety-First approach consistently by adhering to safety protocols, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
  • Accurately maintain production logs and reports.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Utilize hand, power, and electrical tools while assembling hardware units.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in excellent working condition at all times; tools will be provided.
  • Adhere to documented procedures and follow Perry Weather’s quality standards.

WHAT IS HARDWARE AT PERRY WEATHER?

We are the modern weather safety platform – software and hardware that work seamlessly together to protect thousands of people every day. We have two primary types of hardware:

  • Outdoor Warning Systems are mounted to be visible and audible to the nearby area, with a strobe light and speakers for a siren and text-to-speech messaging.
  • Weather Stations are typically mounted alongside our Outdoor Warning Systems and provide our customers with real-time, site-specific weather conditions and camera imagery.

You don't need to know anything about the weather or our hardware to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician. We'll teach you everything you need to know!

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction and troubleshoot without supervision.
  • Comfortable in a hands-on environment; able to lift, move, and manage physical inventory.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Clean driving record, ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug test.
  • Self-starter who takes pride in efficiency and reliability.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + overtime pay.
  • Casual work environment. Our warehouse is located in the vibrant Design District in Dallas, TX. As a note, our team is fully in-person M-F!
  • Comprehensive benefits. We offer competitive health insurance plans, 401(k) with employer matching, Paid Time Off, and a suite of voluntary benefits.
  • Engaging culture.  Monthly All-Hands, fun events like Office Olympics, happy hours, and more.
  • Grow with us. We’re growing rapidly, and yet we have a massive amount of work and opportunity ahead.
