Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $20-25/hr.

Schedule: Full-time, on-call rotation required

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a residential property maintenance team. This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and safety of facilities, grounds, and equipment while ensuring units meet required housing and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding.
• Diagnose and repair issues in residential units, common areas, and exterior structures.
• Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, and appliances.
• Handle plumbing and electrical repairs including fixtures, wiring, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as furnaces, stoves, and water heaters.
• Operate light equipment and tools for landscaping, snow removal, and property upkeep.
• Conduct routine inspections and assist with move-in/move-out readiness.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in the on-call schedule.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with housing standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance or skilled trades experience required.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Ability to operate light equipment (lawn tools, tractors, loaders, etc.).
• Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and respond to emergencies.
