Job Description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Specialized Technician to join our MFG TEAM! As the Specialized Technician we need someone to manages the technical operation for the production of the ceramic tile manufacturing process.

Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotation Nights 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Primary Objective

Works with factory equipment and produce products. They monitor the quality of assembled products and create maintenance logs and reports on production results, according to company protocol.

Major Function and Scope:

• Train new sorting team members on safety procedures and policies.
• Establish a standardized system of training for all team members new to the sorting department and retrain existing TMs for continuity across shifts. To include an in-depth understanding of the QMS system and the importance of following documented procedures, i.e. Spec Sheets.
• Train all sorting TMs on any new procedures and policies relating to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop and implement a program to encourage the development of TMs as they express a desire and ability to grow.
• Develop a logical system to complete color changes and ensure all TMs have the ability to successfully perform a color change.
• Receive training from Flawmaster and Liner Planar vendor technicians whenever in the plant and distribute the knowledge to team.
• Assist with size changes and preventive maintenance as time permits.
• Perform audits of quality checks done in accordance to the Control Plan.
• Perform audits of material in question from the warehouse.
• Lead by example in working safely and following all safety procedures and policies.
• Understand all aspects of sorting.
• Good personal skills.
• Ability to train and coach.
