Prepare, sterilize, install and clean healthcare equipment. Inspect, operate and perform routine testing on equipment to ensure supplies and equipment are available for procedures.
Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prefer current certification through a registered Central Service/Sterile Processing program CSPDM.
Knowledge: Production and Processing of instruments and supplies.
Skills: Operation Monitoring- watching/interpreting gauges and monitors to ensure sterility. Coordination of daily operations, preparation of manual orders and data entry skills. Interpersonal and communication skills. Must be detail oriented, attentive to quality control/monitoring and distribution of instruments.
Abilities: Problem Sensitivity- ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Information ordering appropriateness - ability to arrange tasks or actions in logical order to facilitate work flow. Customer and personal service a must to meet customer needs.
