Job Description

Salary: $127,310 - 243,340 per year Requirements:

  • We require candidates to hold a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field with a strong quantitative focus. Alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience beyond the minimum may substitute for a degree. You should have a minimum of six years of experience in model validation, model development, statistical analysis, or advanced quantitative research. If you possess an advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD) in a related quantitative field, you should have at least four years of applicable work experience. Essential skills include the ability to effectively communicate complex quantitative and technical concepts to non-technical audiences and senior leadership, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, Java, C, SQL, and others for model and algorithm development. Experience in at least three statistical, econometric, data science, or predictive modeling techniques is necessary, alongside a solid understanding of the operational and support functions of Banking and/or Insurance.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role, you will execute thorough model validation oversight for the lifecycle management of models, ensuring compliance with established risk and compliance policies. Your tasks will include implementing independent validation activities for high-risk models, both in-house and vendor-based. You will design and apply validation testing strategies, replicate model developments, and possibly create challenger models using various advanced techniques. Additionally, you will conduct model testing, assess data quality, and oversee the entire lifecycle of model management across Banking and Insurance sectors. Your responsibilities will also involve evaluating model risk ratings, material changes, producing validation reports, and advising peers during the model validation process. Continuous professional development in emerging modeling techniques will be encouraged.
