Maintenance Technician – Sawmill Industry (Tappahannock, VA)

O’Malley Timber is seeking a technically skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Tappahannock, VA facility. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and preferably, experience in the sawmill industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Carry out preventative maintenance measures to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct welding, repairs, and installation of equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Train to perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and sawmill equipment (preferred).
• Proficiency with technical machinery and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
