Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity

Boston Children?s Health Physicians (BCHP), in affiliation with Boston Children?s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at New York Medical College (NYMC), invites applications for a full-time Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist to join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Maria Fareri Children?s Hospital (MFCH), located on the Westchester Medical Center (WMC) campus in Valhalla, NY. Salary approx. $250,000-$275,000 annual plus incentive

Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology comprises a dedicated multidisciplinary team of ten pediatric cardiologists and two congenital heart surgeons providing comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. We are seeking an additional interventional cardiologist to support our expanding cardiac program and to contribute to the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the division.

Our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive Philips Azurion Biplane Angiography System to support the full spectrum of pediatric and congenital cardiac interventions, including transcatheter valve placement (aortic and pulmonic), device closure of septal defects (ASD, VSD), balloon valvuloplasty and angioplasty, stent placement, and neonatal/pediatric ductal device closures. In addition, collaborative procedures are performed in a fully equipped Philips Hybrid Operating Room, supporting complex catheter-based interventions such as periventricular VSD device placement, ductal stenting, and Hybrid Stage I Palliation procedures. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with our surgical, imaging, and intensive care teams to advance interventional care and outcomes for children with complex heart disease.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
• Have completed advanced training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology
• Demonstrate excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a passion for programmatic growth and innovation
• Be eligible for an academic appointment at New York Medical College, commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements

BCHP is a multispecialty pediatric group practice of over 300 physicians, providing tertiary and quaternary care across the region in close collaboration with Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Children?s Hospital. The network encompasses 33 pediatric primary care practices and offers integrated access to the expertise and resources of Boston Children?s Hospital, ensuring excellence in patient care, education, and innovation.

Maria Fareri Children?s Hospital serves as the regional quaternary care center for the Hudson Valley and is the only dedicated children?s hospital in the region. The hospital is home to:

• 150 pediatric beds, including an 18-bed PICU, 55-bed NICU, and a dedicated pediatric emergency department
• Comprehensive subspecialty services and advanced pediatric surgical programs
• A vibrant academic environment, supporting a large categorical pediatric residency and multiple pediatric subspecialty fellowship programs
