As a Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating diseases through the examination of tissues, cells, and body fluids. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and clinical outcomes, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure the highest standards of medical excellence. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of pathology specimens
  • Diagnose diseases based on laboratory findings
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Stay updated with advancements in pathology and medical technology
  • Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
  • Provide expert consultations and support to medical staff
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and best practices in pathology

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call Requirement: By phone only, and will be more general focused

Annual Volume: 6,300+ cases

Diverse patient population

100% breast pathology

High complexity cases

Will be working with residents and fellows

EMR: Cerner, Epic

Board certification required
