Job Description

CDR Health Care, Inc., is seeking CNAs and LPNs who are interested in working as In-Home Caregivers within the South Miami area. No relocation offered . This position will be to support long-term care patients. We are looking to hire CNA's and LPNs with part-time availability to work Saturdays and Sundays. This role involves assisting with personal care, medication management, companionship, meal preparation, household support, transportation, and monitoring health and wellness.

Responsibilities potentially include but not limited to:

  • Recording a patient's medical information accurately
  • Back-up relief for all staff positions as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and rules
  • Perform specific tasks as requested by the incident commander or supervisor
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
  • Communicate with patient's family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
  • Patient assessment and monitoring vital signs
  • Assist patients with mobility, which may require lifting without assistive devices
  • Other duties which may arise that commensurate with the title and position

Requirements

  • Current CNA certification or LPN license is required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNA or LPN
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Above average physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
