Intake Officer

Judge Rosemarie A. Hall, Judge Michelle L. Cordova and Judge Matthew P. Kreitzer announce the opening of an Intake Officer position.
The Intake Officer is a member of the Intake Department with primary responsibility of presenting specified cases to the court, tracking of said cases and record keeping. The Intake Officer assists Hearing Officers by coordinating courtroom activity and providing dates for future hearings. The Intake Officer is responsible for administering the Risk Assessment Instrument (RAI) for each youth held in detention after an arrest, communicating with families, litigants, attorneys and agencies who have business with the Court. This position will also be crossed trained with the Assignment Office to include duties related to court scheduling, and communicating with legal counsel and other outside agencies.
This position must have the ability to:define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; prepare meaningful, concise, and accurate documentation; gather, collate and classify information; handle sensitive inquiries and contacts with officials; maintain confidentiality; work independently, get along with people and work as a member of a team.
Must be able to operate technology, learn and use specified court systems as well as Microsoft programs.
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in social science, criminal justice or related field; one (1) year experience in social services or equivalent combination of training and/or experience is preferred. Four plus years of social service and/or court experience with a lesser degree may be considered.
