Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Picture your shift: you walk the production floor before the first run, tools at your side, scanning for anything that could slow the line. You ready machines, verify settings, and sign off that everything is good to go. Mid-morning, a conveyor stalls—within minutes you’re diagnosing the issue, tracing it through electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components until you uncover the root cause and get production moving again. Throughout the day, you document work orders, collaborate with operators and engineers, and keep the area safe, clean, and organized.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, set up, and confirm equipment readiness before production begins.
• Respond quickly to unexpected equipment failures and perform corrective repairs during active operations.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and record each task accurately.
• Inspect machinery to spot emerging issues, then recommend or implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to guide adjustments and repairs.
• Replace, rebuild, or align parts and components to restore optimal operation.
• Partner with production and engineering to communicate equipment conditions and concerns.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and service documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED (technical training or relevant certifications preferred).
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and automated machinery.
• Exposure to robotics or PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable diagnosing complex electro-mechanical issues.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, with overtime and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to safety, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes; comfortable working at heights.
• Basic computer skills for logging work orders and navigating maintenance systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
