Port City Air (PCA) is located on Pease in Portsmouth, NH. We are a full service 24/7 fixed base operator (FBO) and multi-faceted aviation services company, offering a variety of services for many different size aircrafts such as maintenance, fueling, cleaning and more!

Port City Air is seeking a full-time, experienced GSE Mechanic. Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm with overtime opportunities.

The GSE department is responsible for repairing and maintaining any and all airport related equipment. That includes fuel trucks, belt loaders, tug, generators, fork lifts and more. This position requires the skill and ability to learn multiple types of mechanical systems and components. This position does not require any Gse experience but mechanical experience is welcomed. You will be working with a team of 4 other gse mechanics with years of combined experience in a well-equipped shop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Servicing GSE related equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
• Repairing issues found and reported
• Work well with other employees
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Be safe and responsible
• Be open to training

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous mechanic experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physically capable of safely working with and around various types of equipment while outside in all types of weather, day or night.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as we are a 24/7/365 operation.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass the FAA and Homeland Security background checks as well as complete a pre-employment drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to ascend/descend a ladder
• Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
