Born from the BBC, we’re on a mission to share authentically British stories with audiences across the world. Since our launch in 2017, we've quickly expanded to seven markets including North America, Australia, and the Nordics. We are a small but mighty streamer that punches above our weight, available on every major platform and even shining among the bright lights of Times Square—and we’re just getting started!

Now, here’s where you come in: if you’re passionate about entertainment, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to play a meaningful role in our remarkable growth story, this is your chance. Join our team and help us bring the best of British TV to fans everywhere.

Job Purpose:

The Director of Campaign Marketing is the strategic and creative engine behind our show launches. You will own campaign development for all Tier 1 and Tier 2 series, from early production through weekly release and long-tail performance. Working cross-functionally with internal teams — and externally with producers, writers, agencies, and distributors — you will define the go-to-market strategy, shape the creative approach, and ensure our campaigns cut through a competitive streaming landscape.

Your north stars:

  • Grow subscriptions

  • Increase viewership

  • Build passionate fandom around our shows

This role requires someone who lives and breathes TV marketing, understands how audiences discover and commit to shows, and thrives in a niche, premium, taste-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Campaign Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end campaign development for all Tier 1 and Tier 2 TV series across production, launch, and weekly rollout phases.

  • Set the strategic positioning, audience targets, and creative direction for each campaign, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact presence across paid, owned, earned, social, and partner channels.

  • Work closely with production partners during filming and post to shape campaign materials, secure creative assets, and align messaging with the series’ creative intent.

Audience Expertise

  • Leverage deep understanding of audience insights, including motivations, behaviors, content preferences, and media habits, to develop actionable strategies that drive subscription and sustained engagement.

  • Maintain a sophisticated understanding of the competitive streaming landscape and how our niche identity stands apart.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Creative, Social, Publicity, Programming, and Product teams internally to ensure unified and high-quality marketing presence.

  • Build strong relationships with external showrunners, producers, and writers to align campaign storytelling and secure access to talent and behind-the-scenes content.

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Lead relationships with creative, media, social, and research agencies.

  • Oversee briefing, feedback, timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure best-in-class creative output and campaign performance.

Fan Development & Community Building

  • Develop strategies to foster fandom and engagement, especially for series with passionate followings.

  • Partner with the brand team to grow and strategically direct social channels reflective of the BritBox brand.

  • Bonus: Experience running or partnering with fan-centered social communities for TV properties.

Performance & Optimization

  • Partner with analytics teams to track KPIs around subscriber acquisition, viewership, engagement, and campaign efficiency.

  • Continuously test, optimize, and refine messaging and creatives for impact with both niche and broad audiences.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 8–10+ years experience in entertainment or streaming marketing with significant ownership of TV show campaigns.

  • Experience at a broad streaming platform (e.g., Hulu, Max, Paramount+, Prime Video) or niche streamer (Criterion, anime platforms, genre streamers).

  • Proven success managing scripted TV campaigns from production through finale.

  • Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, particularly services like Acorn and other premium international/arthouse platforms.

  • Exceptional collaborator with experience working alongside producers, writers, creatives, and executives.

  • Experience managing external agencies and multi-channel launch campaigns.

  • Bonus: Experience overseeing or contributing to fan-based social communities.

  • Passion for high-quality, character-rich, writer-driven TV series.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Big-picture thinking paired with meticulous execution.

  • Calm, clear leadership in fast-paced, creative discussions.

  • A love of storytelling in both shows and campaign narratives.

  • Strong instinct for audience engagement and campaign resonance.

  • Curiosity, taste, and drive to elevate marketing beyond the expected.

This job spec is not exhaustive and may change from time to time in line with the evolving nature of a dynamic and growing business.

Salary Range: 120k-150k
