Our client, a fast-growing healthcare services provider, is seeking a strategic and hands-on AI & Automation Lead with deep experience in medical billing and healthcare revenue cycle operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven automation solutions to streamline the full billing lifecycle—improving accuracy, boosting operational efficiency, and scaling systems to support nationwide growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with billing and operations teams to identify and map automation opportunities across the revenue cycle, including eligibility, authorization, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
  • Design and implement AI and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to increase billing efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Lead pilot initiatives to validate automation effectiveness and build data-driven cases for broader deployment across departments.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for all automation projects, including technical workflows, user guides, and system protocols.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives, managing timelines, scope, and measurable KPIs for success.
  • Train and support internal billing and technical staff in adopting, maintaining, and optimizing newly developed automation tools.
  • Build and mentor a small, high-performing team of AI developers and data engineers as automation initiatives expand.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of healthcare tech innovation.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in medical billing operations, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration systems.
  • Proven experience implementing AI, machine learning (ML), or RPA solutions within a healthcare or medical billing context.
  • Strong programming and integration skills, with hands-on proficiency in Python, APIs, and modern workflow automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from concept to execution in fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare billing compliance, payor systems, and denial trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
